Sr. Product Engineer – Netgroup Engineering

Salem, VA | $95,000 – $105,000 + DOE

Netgroup Engineering is seeking a Sr. Product Engineer to join our team supporting Mack Trucks (VolvoGroup) at their Roanoke Valley Operations facility. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the successful development and launch of innovative new products.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead the design and development of new and existing products, components, and assemblies for Mack Trucks.
• Collaborate closely with the Roanoke Valley Operations facility to ensure seamless product transitions and address any design-related challenges.
• Establish and oversee mock-ups, pilots, and test assemblies.
• Coordinate product and process changes between manufacturing facilities.
• Apply engineering principles to create products that meet customer specifications while optimizing for manufacturing cost and efficiency.
• Conduct mathematical modeling to assess the feasibility of design concepts.
• Support the design, testing, and prototyping of new products.
• Contribute to the development of efficient manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers.

What You’ll Bring:

• 8+ years of relevant engineering experience (required)
• Strong understanding of engineering principles and design methodologies
• Proficiency in CATIA V5 / CAD software
• Experience with Volvo Group systems (KOLA, PDM LINK, CREO View) is highly preferred
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Self-starter with strong time management and organizational skills
• Concise and precise communication style
• Team-oriented and collaborative approach
